Via Natura, a travel specialist, is introducing a new ultra-luxurious catamaran, the 157-foot Hermes, to the Galápagos Islands. Despite being the second-largest leisure cat in the world and the largest in the South American archipelago, Hermes accommodates a maximum of 20 guests to maintain exclusivity. With a crew-to-guest ratio of almost 1:1, guests can expect impeccable five-star service, including a 24/7 butler.
Hermes boasts 12 spacious convertible suites with floor-to-ceiling windows, walk-in closets, private bathrooms, minibars, and scenic private balconies with Jacuzzis. The premium beverage menu is complimentary. The catamaran also features upscale social areas indoors and out, including lounges, a library, a spa, and alfresco dining areas.
Guests can indulge in Ecuadorian cuisine prepared by a renowned chef and participate in cooking lessons and cocktail classes. Exploration itineraries range from three to 14 nights and include stops at iconic destinations like Gardner Bay and Black Turtle Cove. Two naturalist guides accompany guests on hikes, snorkelling, kayaking, and more.
To mitigate environmental impact, Hermes utilizes a fuel-efficient propulsion system. Via Natura is also launching a reforestation programme to replant endangered native trees on private land in the Galápagos. Rates for a three-night adventure start at US$6,195 for a suite and US$117,705 for a private charter.
