Love is in the air… and on the water

February signals the month of love with many venues offering special promotions to spoil your significant other. One of the most romantic venues in town, Banyan Tree Bangkok Hotel, is celebrating Valentine’s in style at its restaurants as well as aboard a cruise ship.

At skybar Vertigo (61st floor) you can declare your undying love over a 3, 4 or 5-course set with a glass of champagne, with prices ranging between THB8,900++ and THB12,900++ per couple, while Vertigo TOO (60th floor) is offering a 5-course set with a glass of champagne for THB6,500++ per person.

Over equally stunning panoramic views of the city you can savour a 5-course set meal, with a glass of bubbly of course, for THB4,900++ per couple at Saffron fine dining restaurant a few floors below on the 52nd floor. For bigger appetites, all-day international restaurant Romsai, located on B floor, features a Valentine’s dinner buffet with a glass of sparkling wine, at THB2,000++ per person.

Or how about popping the question over a scenic sunset cruise? Banyan Tree recently launched Saffron Cruise, a new riverboat cruise service aimed at discerning diners and culture aficionados with an appreciation for Thailand’s artistic heritage and the timeless splendour of the Chao Phraya River. For Valentine’s the hotel has a festive 5-course set meal planned, costing THB9,900++ per couple including a glass of champagne. The 38-metre-long vessel features a show-kitchen restaurant and bar on the open-air main deck, while the rooftop Moon Deck features a stool-sit bar and lounge plus a scenic Sky Bridge for viewing the river’s gently rippling waters and spectacular sunsets.
