Woodworker Michael Robbins is the quintessential Hudson Valley maker in that both his materials and methods pay homage to the area. In fact, he describes his style as “honest, playful, elegant, and reflective of the aesthetic of the Hudson Valley surroundings." Robbins crafts his furniture by hand but allows the wood he uses to help guide the look of a piece. (The studio offers eight standard finishes.)
