Life in the Caribbean just got better with Viceroy Bocas del Toro Panama

Beach it

The crystal blue waters of the Caribbean have always been a magnet for the well heeled and the luxurious. In 2019, the rich and famous will have a new Caribbean playground to frolic in, when the Viceroy Bocas del Toro Panama resort and residences opens its doors.

With 186 guest rooms, including 42 overwater villas, along 457 acres of coastline and some 5km of private white sand beaches, the property will be superlative. Accessible only by boat, seaplane or helicopter from Panama City, guests or residents can chose to relax in tropical splendour, or choose adventure: countless options include rainforest zip-lining, snorkelling, sailing, paddle boarding and deep sea fishing. The archipelago is also home to the San San Pond Sak wetlands, the most biologically diverse tropical coral reef in the region and the ultimate place for bird watching, bicycling and guided eco-hikes. With sustainability being a modern concern, Viceroy Bocas del Toro Panama is eco-friendly, with only electrical cars and sustainable technologies used.

Other amenities planned include an indoor meeting space, a fitness centre, a cinema lounge, a library, and a spa featuring private rejuvenation pools tucked in blossoming pockets of the rainforest.

Villa Bocas del Toro Panama is the result of a partnership between VHG, West Resort and Hospitality Investors Group. Zurcher Arquitectos will oversee development and Wimberly Interiors will concept all aspects of interior design.
